Walkinshaw Andretti United have put the for-sale sign on Chaz Mostert’s ride, chassis WR026, through a pre-sale auction via partner Lloyds Auctions.

This race-winning car will go down in Australian motorsport history, not only as the car that Chaz Mostert drove to his first win with Walkinshaw Andretti United (his first in a Holden), but it is also the final Gen II Chassis that Walkinshaw Racing will ever build.

Not only is the car up for sale, but for the first time the package includes the Walkinshaw Racing V8 engine which Chaz and Lee Holdsworth will race with at the 2021 Bathurst 1000.

Race it, display it, put it in a collection, it’s ready for whatever one lucky owner desires.

This auction is a pre-sale, with delivery at the completion of the 2022 Supercars Championship, which also means that there are plenty of opportunities for more wins to be added to its growing list of achievements, maybe even a Bathurst 1000 win or a Championship… Imagine watching your car win the Great Race!

Chassis WR026 was debuted at the 2021 Supercars Championship opening round, the Mount Panorama 500, where Mostert collected two podium finishes over the two races.

He went on to take his first ever win for Walkinshaw Andretti United in Race 8 of the Championship at Symmons Plains, before taking his second victory of the year in Race 12 a Hidden Valley Raceway.

To add to that, Mostert has so far collected a total of seven podium finishes in 2021 to date, as well as one pole position award.

The car will come in full running condition, in the specification it competes in at the 2021 Bathurst 1000, and in any livery the new owner wishes from the 2021 or 2022 season.

Bruce Stewart

“This is rare and incredible opportunity to own a car that will go down in the Australia motorsport history books. Not only is it the car in which Chaz Mostert took his first win for our team in, his first ever Supercars win in a Holden, but it’s also the last current generation car we will build.

“It’s also the first time we are including an engine in the sale, which in itself is an incredible item to have the opportunity to own. That means when the car is delivered to its new owner, there will be nothing more to do. It will be ready to turn a lap, or ready to display as it raced.

“Chassis 26 has already achieved two wins this year, but there’s plenty of more opportunities to add to its success, including the Bathurst 1000 this year when Chaz teams up with Lee Holdsworth, and that engine they use in the Great Race will be the one delivered to the new owner at the end of 2022.

“The team at Lloyds Auctions do an amazing job, this car is part of a fantastic collection they are auctioning, and we can’t wait to see how it goes.”
