Round 2 of the Supercars All Stars Eseries saw us head to Europe for two races at Silverstone, before heading to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for another two races to round out the night.

It was an up-and-down night for both Bryce and Chaz, who had good speed across both circuits, were the innocent victims in a few accidents, but still provided plenty of highlights across the night.

Race 1

Chaz 5th, Bryce 23rd

One of the battles of the whole evening was Chaz v Andre Heimgartner, as the two went toe-to-toe for three laps around the famous Grand Prix circuit, with Mostert eventually getting the upper-hand, resulting in a top-5 finish.

After a good start, Bryce found himself pushed wide and down the back of the field, carving his way back through to 14th, before a post-race penalty for exceeding track limits put him back down the order.

Race 2

Chaz 13th, Bryce 12th

The reverse grid race, which is always one to watch, saw Fullwood get away cleanly and hold down a position in the top-3 in the opening lap, before contact once again sent him back outside the top 10.

Chaz worked his way through well, as both drivers worked together to move up a few places in the closing stages.

Race 3

Chaz 11th, Bryce 5th

Bryce finally got the clean run he deserved, and showed the speed he had in this one. Didn’t put a foot wrong, recording a top-5 finish.

For Chaz, after starting third, contact on lap one from Verstappen send him rear of field, lucky to keep it off the wall. He put his head down and worked his way back as best he could.

Race 4

Chaz 22nd, Bryce 25th

Not much went right in this one.

Chaz missed pole position by 0.02, earning him a front row start, but he ended up facing the wrong way on lap 1, and had to pit for damage, putting him a lap down.

For Bryce, he started from pitlane after a qualifying issue, but a system glitch didn’t count his first lap, which also put him a lap down and out of contention.

Next week, we head to Bathurst!

Chaz Mostert

“Well that one didn’t go to plan. Qualifying was really good, we were up the front for each session, but the incidents on lap 1 for the majority of the races really hurt us. One was my fault, the other was just a bit of carnage.

“We had some good battles on track, didn’t matter if you were racing up the front or racing a bit further down the pack, everyone is racing for sheep stations down there. Feels pretty good to just race hard.

“Disappointing tonight after a good first round but we will bounce back and see how we go at the next one.”

Bryce Fullwood

“It was a pretty crazy night in the end, we had good pace and Barcelona, Silverstone was a bit more of a challenge, but not much went right tonight unfortunately.

“There were still positives to take, race 3 of the night went well and it was great to show our speed, and get another top-5.

“We will dust ourselves off and start preparing for next week now, which will be a lot of fun. Looking forward to it already.”
