Walkinshaw Andretti United has completed its second test day of 2021 at Winton Motor Raceway on Tuesday, May 18.

Chaz Mostert and Bryce Fullwood did the majority of laps throughout the day, but were joined by their respective co-drivers, Lee Holdsworth and Warren Luff, who banked some valuable miles in their Bathurst preparations.

It was a typically cold start to the morning, but the day fined up, and allowed a full programme to be worked through across both cars.

It was a positive day on both sides of the garage, that puts us in a good position before upcoming Winton SuperSprint on May 29-30.

At that round, Supercars will debut a new tyre, the Super Soft, which we will get our first look at in Saturday practice, sure to spice the weekend up. It will also be used in Darwin.

Chaz Mostert

“Was nice to get back out there at Winton and cut some laps, and it was great to have Lee there as well. We are working really well together, which will be crucial come Bathurst time.

“In terms of our programme we got through what we wanted to get through, and got a good read on a few things as well that we’ve been thinking about since The Bend.

“Test days are always a little tricky to get a read on everyone else, but just focussing on ourselves, we are happy with how it unfolded.

“Looking forward to heading back there next weekend.”

Bryce Fullwood

“Pretty good day, we worked through what we wanted to throughout the day which was important.

“Was awesome to have Luffy there as well, he is great to bounce some stuff off and we were giving the same feedback in the car which is important.

“Looking forward to getting back to Winton next weekend now, the new Super Soft tyre will definitely be different, and will keep us on our toes early, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
