Mobil 1™ MEGA Racing has today revealed a livery tweak to Scott Pye’s Car No. 2 for this weekend’s Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint, with FuelCorp to take over the major branding position on both sides of the car.

Following on from the successful integration of Carpentaria Fuels on James Courtney’s car for the Townsville 400, MEGA have once again pushed their local subsidiary into the spotlight.

FuelCorp, a subsidiary of MEGA Limited, are bringing service back to the bulk fuel industry by creating tailored fuelling solutions for each of their customers to drive their productivity and reducing their overall cost of fuel.

They supply fuel from all major terminals in Australia, and with an ever growing footprint, they are there when you need them.

With rapid growth in the last 18 months, MEGA Limited has expanded its network and customer base adding Fuel Corp to its growing arm of subsidiaries.

MEGA has also just officially opened its first retail service station last Saturday (July 20) in the Brisbane suburb of Rocklea.

It is the first in a planned rollout of MEGA fuel stations along the Eastern Seaboard. MEGA is Australia’s newest retail fuel brand having been in operation for a number of years supplying bulk fuel.

The Rocklea location is ideally situated adjacent to the Rocklea Showgrounds and Brisbane’s major produce markets are nearby.

The company has been in a strong phase of acquisitions throughout 2019, taking control of a number of fuel distribution companies to bolster its bulk fuel distribution capabilities and establish a network that can support the retail rollout.

MEGA has the capacity to supply ethanol-based fuel, unleaded, premium unleaded, diesel, marine and aviation fuel. It can also install bulk storage tanks with world leading electronic solutions for multi-user workplaces - such as regional councils - or associations that wish to offer their members premium fuel at better prices.

The livery tweaks across both cars will continue at various remaining rounds in 2019, while the MEGA branding will return to Courtney’s No. 22 for the weekend.

Both Mobil 1 MEGA Racing Commodores get underway at the 2019 Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint this Friday, July 26, with practice 1 and 2.

Bruce Stewart - Walkinshaw Andretti United Co-Team Principal

“After the success of Carpentaria Fuels at Townsville, it’s great to continue to thrust the subsidiaries of MEGA, like FuelCorp, into the spotlight at Supercars events.

“It’s fantastic recognition for FuelCorp, a locally based brand, who are doing great things with MEGA in the market, providing an excellent service.

“It’s really pleasing to be able to enhance the public link between MEGA and FuelCorp, with the MEGA branding on Car No. 22 for the weekend to show that.

“We must also congratulate MEGA for the opening of their first retail service station, I can’t wait to see more and more pop up on right across the Eastern Seaboard.”

Andrew Adamson - MEGA Limited Head of Marketing

“The FuelCorp branding that we have introduced this weekend is reflective of our Brisbane based business unit that offers bulk fuel distribution and on-site refuelling to its loyal customer base.

“With the recent opening of MEGA’s first retail fuel outlet, we felt it was the perfect opportunity for the team and transporter to stop by for a visit on route to Queensland Raceway.

“The car looks great and the team have done a great job rotating the major signage to promote our additional divisions of MEGA.”
