Mobil 1™ MEGA Racing has today revealed a livery tweak to James Courtney’s Car 22 for this weekend’s Townsville 400, with Carpentaria Fuels to take over the major branding position on both sides of the car.

Carpentaria Fuels, a subsidiary of MEGA Limited, is dedicated to servicing the needs of the remote areas of Northern and Central Queensland, as well as the Northern Territory. They provide a tailored service and quality product to each of its customers.

Specialists in bulk fuel distribution, Carpentaria Fuels can also facilitate refuelling through its Richmond roadhouse and a developing network of unmanned fuel sites throughout Australia.

The livery tweak also means a locally based brand will be in the spotlight of Townsville’s biggest annual sporting event.

With rapid growth in the last 18 months, MEGA Limited has expanded its network and customer base adding Carpentaria Fuels to its growing arm of subsidiaries.

Australian owned and operated, MEGA provides innovative fuel solutions to a varied and diverse customer base, from major transport companies and mining to large scale farming and marine. The experienced and customer-focused team provide on-site refuelling, card network, bulk storage solutions and bunkering throughout Queensland, NSW and Victoria, all designed to provide supply confidence and save customers money on their annual fuel spend.

The livery tweaks across both cars will continue at various remaining rounds in 2019, as further subsidiaries of MEGA will be thrust into the spotlight.

The MEGA branding will still remain on the side of Scott Pye’s Car 2 for the round.

Both Mobil 1 MEGA Racing Commodores get underway at the 2019 Watpac Townsville 400 this Friday, July 5, with practice 1 and 2.

Bruce Stewart - Walkinshaw Andretti United Co-Team Principal

“It’s fantastic to be able to bring a brand so familiar with the Townsville and North Queensland region into the spotlight at the Townsville 400. I’m sure the team at Carpentaria Fuels will get a real kick out of seeing their logo on the side of our race car at such a big event.

“MEGA is expanding rapidly, and this is just another example of their growing reach all over the east coast of Australia. What they are doing, and the footprint they have created is extremely impressive.

“It’s great to be able to showcase their subsidiaries here in Townsville as well as selected future rounds for the rest of 2019.

“It will be fantastic to see both Carpentaria Fuels and MEGA buzzing around the streets of Townsville this weekend.

Garth Anderson - MEGA Limited CEO

“This weekend will see the first of a number of livery changes on the Walkinshaw Andretti United ZB Commodores as we bring our subsidiary companies to the forefront.

“The team at Carpentaria Fuels have established an expanding and loyal customer base that requires supply confidence in remote areas of North Queensland and the Northern Territory. We are committed to continuing this high level of customer service across our group of companies.

“Townsville is an important area for our business, so it is a perfect opportunity to bring our Mobil 1 MEGA Racing Supercars program and Carpentaria Fuels together at the racetrack and reward our customers, partners and staff.”
