Mobil 1 HSV Racing has added some noticeable Boost to the cars for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this week.

Boost Mobil has taken a major branding position on both the #2 and #22 cars for the event.

The Australian owned company lives and breathes the youth cultural intersections between action sports, motorsports, art and music, offering prepaid services on the Telstra 4G mobile network.

They were first spotted on Mobil 1 HSV Racing cars at the Clipsal 500, extending their agreement after the success of the partnership at the event.

Mobil 1 HSV Racing Managing Director, Adrian Burgess, is delighted to have Boost Mobile back on the cars for another weekend.

“It’s fantastic news that Boost Mobile is extending the relationship that we started in Adelaide. It’s really pleasing for the team to bring in a new partner. Knowing they have instantly seen the value in not only the team, but Supercars as a category as a means to promote their brand and product is a really positive thing,” Burgess said.

“We are very excited to be going in to a longer-term arrangement, but also an expanded presence on the car for the AGP.

“They have got a great product, they are on a great network with Telstra, and it’s great to be able to support each other once again.”

General Manager of Boost Mobile Australia, Jason Haynes, said it was fantastic to not only extend, but enhance the partnership.

“After beginning the relationship with Mobil 1 HSV Racing at the Clipsal 500, we at Boost Mobile are delighted to not only be able to continue it at the Australian Grand Prix, but extend it to take a major branding position,” Haynes said.

“We are extremely committed to supporting motorsport and action sports in Australia, so it’s great to be on the grid at one of the biggest events in Australia.

“We had great results across multiple media platforms which enable both broader awareness for the Boost Mobile brand along with an ability connect potential consumers with our great product offers. So to expand on the partnership with Walkinshaw was another step forward for Boost Mobile as we continue to build on our current strong foundation".

The Boost Mobil backed Mobil 1 HSV Racing cars hit the track at 12:50pm on Thursday March 23 for their first practice session, before four qualifying sessions for each race kick off at 5:00pm.
