Due to an overwhelming response from the public, Mobil 1™ HSV Racing is delighted to announce the 1994 inspired Retro Round livery on car #02 will remain for the remainder of the 2017 PIRTEK Enduro Cup.

The stunning blue and white livery, which pays tribute to the 1994 HRT/Peter Brock car was a fan favourite both on and off the track at Sandown.

After comprehensive wins in the Supercars and SpeedCafe polls for best livery, where it took 46% and 40% of the votes respectively, the fans have spoken.

General Manager of Motorsport, Mathew Nilsson, said the entire team was thrilled with the reception from the fans.

“Anytime you run a Peter Brock inspired car, it’s going to generate a lot of emotion and interest, but the positivity of this livery was incredible,” Nilsson said.

“From the social media comments, to people coming up telling us how much they loved it at the track, it’s great to see people so happy about it.

“The car looks fantastic standing still and on the track, and it’s something most can relate to, so keeping it on the car was an easy decision in the end. It’s also great to continue to celebrate the 24-year partnership we’ve had with Mobil.”

Not only will the livery stay, but Scott Pye and Warren Luff will continue to pilot #02 on the car, which pays homage to Brock’s famous #05.

Car #02 and #22 will roll out at Mt Panorama on Thursday, October 5, for their first practice session of the 2017 Bathurst 1000.
