Mobil 1™ Boost Mobile Racing has today announced that Warren Luff and Jack Perkins will return to the team as co-drivers for the the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship endurance season.

Luff will extend his relationship with Scott Pye, while Perkins will once again team up with James Courtney.

2018 marks Luff’s fifth year with the team, and second with Scott Pye. They instantly gelled with each other at the beginning of last year, before teaming up for a second-place finish at the Bathurst 1000.

Perkins returns for his fourth year with the team, all of which have been alongside James Courtney, including a 2015 Gold Coast 600 win.

Both partnerships will look to build on their 2017 results, starting tomorrow at the Sydney Motorsport Park test day, where they will join the main drivers to turn laps in their respective cars.

Warren Luff

“It’s great to be back that’s for sure.

“Working with Scotty last year was really enjoyable, we got along really well, and have very similar styles and feedback, so it’s a great match.

“Bathurst was a fantastic result last year, and one I definitely want to build on.

“There is a lot happening with the team this year, from the new ownership to the ZB commodore, so it’s great to be back involved and along for the ride.”

Jack Perkins

“I’m really excited to be back for my fourth year with the team and of course fourth year with James.

“There’s a lot of exciting things happening around the place at the moment, including having both Boost Mobile and Mobil 1 as major partners, so it’s a good environment to be in that’s for sure.

“Running car number 25 this year is also a real privilege, a 25-year partnership between the team and Mobil 1 is an incredible achievement.

“We didn’t have the best luck last year, so I’m looking forward to turning that around in 2018, starting by jumping behind the wheel at the test day, which is always good fun.”

Mathew Nilsson

“It’s fantastic for the team to have two drivers of Jack and Warren’s caliber back for the year.

“Co-drivers play a vitally important part in the main drivers’ championship; it’s a critical role. Both Warren and Jack are experienced on the track, know the team well, and are proven drivers, so having them back for another year fills us with confidence.

“We know as a team that we can put either driver in the car at any time and they will do a great job, along with providing fantastic feedback. We are thrilled to have them back on board.”
