Scott Pye was 19th while James Courtney recorded a DNF in race 20 of the championship at Queensland Raceway today.

Qualifying pace was once again an issue this morning, as both cars struggled to get adequate grip and balance, resulting in JC starting 18th and Scott 20th for the 65 lap, 200km race.

Scott struggled with the overall pace of the car late in stints, unable to turn out the lap time required to move forward.

Following lap 1 contact, James came into the garage, with the boys working frantically to get him back out. They did a great job getting the car repaired, but to no avail due to an inability to then complete the minimum requirement of 75% race distance to receive points.

On the whole, it was a very disappointing weekend. With a test day coming up in August, and some R and D work in the pipeline, we look forward to making gains in the next phase of the season, to ensure we are back up the pointy end of the field.

Thank you for your support.

“We had an incident on lap 1 today which wasn’t ideal. As a team, we will investigate it internally to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

“Qualifying speed continues to be our biggest issue with the car at the moment, but I can assure everyone we are working tirelessly to address and fix the problems.

Bruce Stewart - Co-Team Principal

“This weekend is not a true reflection on where we need to be, and everyone behind the scenes will be straight back to work to ensure a turnaround in current fortunes.

“With the test day next month, there are some exciting developments in the pipeline.

“Whilst it was a difficult weekend, we refocus and regain our early season momentum, and return the valued support we receive from our partners and fans.
