Mobil 1™ Boost Mobile Racing’s third and final test day of 2018 is complete, as the team undertook their usual pre-enduro test at Winton Raceway yesterday.

The third test follows on from a successful test last month, and a weekend at the Bend where valuable gains were made as the weekend progressed.

James Courtney, Jack Perkins, Scott Pye and Warren Luff were all in attendance to turn laps in their respective cars, with endurance season officially kicking off in just over a week at the RABBLE.club Sandown 500.

The sun was out which meant there were no interruptions to a busy programme, with both cars running from 8:30am until the 5pm close of circuit.

Co-Team Principal, Mathew Nilsson, said it was a positive day which has prepared them well for what’s ahead.

“Yesterday was about gaining a greater understanding of the package we have, and we are confident we achieved that,” Nilsson said.

“It was a busy day, as they always are, but we accomplished what we set out to understand, accumulating further valuable laps under our belts.

“Jack and Warren got a very decent amount of time in the car once again which is really important. We are really happy and confident that they will do a great job for us in the season of endurance.

“There was a lot of other things that go into the day, we also made sure we were practicing driver changes as well as rotor and pad changes, which are crucial during the entire Pirtek Enduro Cup.

“So, all in all it was another positive test day, now we are really excited for the challenges that endurance season present and look forward to tackling it head on.”

Both cars will be on track at Sandown from Friday.
