Walkinshaw Andretti United’s chassis 23, currently being used by James Courtney for Mobil 1 MEGA Racing will be auctioned off for pre-sale on Sunday, April 27th, 2019, starting at 7pm through Lloyds Auctions, and include a VIP experience with the team.

Chassis 23, the final car built by the Team under the Holden Racing Team moniker, is the last HRT winner (Sandown 500 2016) and last HRT pole winner (Sydney 2016).

The chassis will be delivered to the new owner at the completion of the 2020 Supercars season.

Following the success of the pre-sale of chassis 24 through with the Brock collection at the 2018 Bathurst 1000, the Team and Lloyds, the Team’s official auctioneer, are extremely excited to present another opportunity to own a Supercar.

The auction will take place through Lloyds’ online site starting this Sunday, concluding on the Saturday evening of April 27, 2019

Chassis 23, which Courtney is currently piloting in the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, made its race debut at Eastern Creek in 2016 with Garth Tander. It was used in 2017 by Scott Pye, including a Bathurst 1000 second place finish, once by James Courtney in 2018 at the Sandown 500, before coming back into circulation this season, meaning it could yet be another major race winner.

Great for collectors and racers alike, it will be sold as a rolling chassis, excluding engine. That means the car, which will be delivered as per the 2018 specifications and will include items such as the front suspension and upright assembly, wheels, tyres and exhaust system. The new owner will also have the choice of selecting any livery which appeared on the car during the 2019 season, or, for an additional cost, returned to VF specification with the last HRT winning livery.

The lucky owner of chassis 23 will also be entitled to special benefits with the team during the 2020 Supercars Championship season, such as six hot laps, GA and paddock access ticketing at all Supercars events, signed panels, and hospitality at the Bathurst 1000.

Bruce Stewart - Co-Team Principal, Walkinshaw Andretti United

“It’s extremely exciting to once again be offering the opportunity to the public the opportunity to purchase a Supercar, especially one that will go down in history.

“We were the first team in Supercars to offer the pre-sale opportunity, and after the success and interest it generated, we are delighted to do it again through a known and trusted auctioneer in Lloyds.

“To own a Walkinshaw Andretti United built and prepared car is a rare opportunity, but to know that it was the last race winner under the HRT banner makes it extra special, which Holden fan wouldn’t want this!

“Not only that, but the added benefits means the owner will be part of the team, as their car takes the track.”
