James Courtney finished 12th, and Scott Pye 16th in Race 20 at Queensland Raceway.

JC moved forward six spots during the race, while Scott had to have the elbows up to keep a gaggle of cars behind him for the second half of the race after a front-end balance issue.

Both cars started in Q1 this morning, but unfortunately a red flag while both were on their second run meant they didn’t advance to Q2. That meant Scott started from 16th and JC 18th.

Scott was one of the first cars to stop, going aggressive on strategy on lap 12, while JC pitted on lap 18.

After the first stop, a front end vibration under braking crept into Car 2, an issue Scott would have to manage for the rest of the afternoon.

After the second round of stops, both cars found themselves in battle packs for the remainder of the race.

JC was able to get past Hazelwood but couldn’t move forward on Percat or Winterbottom, while Scott had to make his ZB Commodore a wide one, holding off Slade, Coulthard, De Silvestro and Caruso for 30 laps.

Now, we head back to base for a break of three-weeks until we travel to Tailem Bend for the next round.
