Round 4 of the Eseries is in the books after a successful night saw Chaz take his first win, Alexander Rossi grab a podium, and Bryce clean sweep Top-10 finishes in every race.

We headed to Watkins Glen and Montreal for four races across the night, which left Chaz fifth in the overall championship, and Bryce eighth.

For the most part, we finally avoided the lap 1 drama that has plagued us in recent rounds, with Bryce super smooth and consistent throughout the entire race, making his way forward from 21st in qualifying.

For Chaz, he had to take evasive action throughout the race, but recovered well with good pace.

Rossi would have been in the Top-10 if he didn’t get tagged and spun as he was entering the pits for his stop. That cost him about over 10 seconds, but it was a very solid start to the night.

The reverse grid race provided its usual thrills and spills, with Chaz coming out victorious.

After navigating turn 1 and 2 on the first lap, he came out second on the road, and first after stopping under safety car. From there, he was never headed, claiming our first win of the Eseries.

Bryce did a great job to move up again, carving his way through the field from 23rd to fourth in one of the drives of the day.

For Alexander, he was poleaxed, not once, but twice on the on successive laps through no fault of his own, ending his race early due to damage.

We then shifted gears and headed to Watkins Glen for the first of two races.

A strong qualifying performance saw Bryce start from sixth and Chaz from seventh, showing the outright pace they had.

They were in the hunt all race, mixing it up the front, before banking a solid haul of points.

After a qualifying issue that saw him start from the back, Rossi got on the move forward, moving up 11 places with great pace.

Rossi claimed a podium on debut to round out the night. After starting mid-pack, he got a blinder of a start to be in the top-five, before passing his way into third before the stops.

He chased Jamie Whincup down or the rest of the race, holding off Scott McLaughlin in the closing laps, to finish second.

Bryce rounded out his night of Top 10’s with another fantastic drive from the back of the grid, capping off an ultra-consistent round for him in the Mobil 1 Middy’s Racing No. 2.

For Chaz, he was running inside the Top 10 until a few late accidents forced an extra pitstop, pushing him down the order.

Chaz Mostert

“It was a bit of a mixed bag of results tonight, but to get that win in race 2 was pretty cool. We capitalised on our starting position for that one, so I’m really happy to get the Mobil 1 Appliances Online No. 25 its first win.

“It was a mixed bag in the others, a couple of little errors in the last race hurt. It’s tough competition out there, but overall, it’s good to be back on the podium after the last couple of rounds, and we will take that confidence into the next round.”

Bryce Fullwood

“Overall it was a really solid night, we just missed the podium a couple of times, but to finish every race inside the top 10 I’m really happy with, especially having to start down the back for a couple of them.

“I think we made up something like 50 positions over the course of the night, which is pretty incredible considering the shortened races.

“It was a lot of fun, and nice to get some reward for the hard work everyone has been putting in. We will take it, and continue to build next week!”

Alexander Rossi

“It was a lot of fun to be involved in the Supercars Eseries, it was nice to be back in a Supercar, even if it was virtually, so a big thank you to everyone from Walkinshaw Andretti United and Supercars for having me in the NAPA AUTO PARTS No. 27.

“To get a podium at the end there was great, I had a great time, even with the middle of the night wake up! Thanks to everyone for their help in making it happen.”
