Walkinshaw Andretti United has today announced that Kurt Kostecki will compete in his third wildcard round at the upcoming Phillip Island SuperSprint on October 23-24.

Originally scheduled to run at the Perth round, Kostecki will once again be behind the wheel of the No. 27 Mobil 1 entry at the Bass Coast Festival of Motorsport, like he was at The Bend SuperSprint and the Darwin SuperSprint.

“It’s awesome to have Phillip Island confirmed as my third wildcard for 2021 with WAU,” Kurt Kostecki said.

“It’s a real shame we can’t get to Perth this year, I was really looking forward to racing at my home event, but I’m still really excited to head to Phillip Island.

“It’s one of the most iconic circuits in the world, so I can’t wait to get there and get behind the wheel of the Mobil 1 No. 27, and build on what we’ve achieved and learnt across the previous two rounds.”

Kurt joins Chaz Mostert and Bryce Fullwood once again in the Walkinshaw Andretti United stable, with on track running beginning on Saturday October 23.

Before that, Chaz and Bryce will take part in Round 8 of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship at Winton Raceway on October 2-3.
