It was redemption in the Top End for Chaz Mostert, taking out the win in Race 18 at Hidden Valley Raceway.

Race 17

Chaz: 8th
Nick: 10th
Jayden: 23rd

All three cars avoided the chaos on lap 1, but it was tough going moving forward a great amount in the hot air of a freight train.

Nick moved inside the 10 with a good drive, and Chaz was just ahead of him in traffic.

Jayden was also stuck in traffic, and didn’t quite have the car speed to jump the group in front.

Chaz: 1st
Nick: 10th
Jayden: 25th

Backs against the wall, as good at it gets.

Chaz rounded out the weekend on top, and Nick inside the 10 despite a late safety car going against us.

Both cars stopped early, both had mirrors full of guys with fresher tyres in the last eight laps, neither gave in.

Unfortunately for Jayden, steering damage early ruined his race and put him down the back.

Chaz Mostert

“What an amazing day, so proud of everyone here, that’s probably one of the most satisfying wins of my career! I’m stoked.

“I’m not going to lie, I didn’t enjoy hearing what tyres everyone behind me had on at the restart, but I wasn’t going down without a fight.

“Love this team, love what we are doing, and I’m hungry for more.”

Nick Percat

“I think we made some good steps forward this weekend overall. Not where we want to be, but definitely got better as the weekend went on, and it gives us a good direction to keep improving.

“Big congrats to the team and Chaz, can’t wait to get to the NTI Townsville 500 now!”

Jayden Ojeda

“Up and down weekend, but an amazing experience overall over the past two rounds, it’s been awesome to be in the main game.

“A big thank you to the team and all our partners for making it happen, hopefully there is more to come – and congratulations to the team on an awesome win today.”
