We’re back in South Australia for Round 8 of the 2022 Supercars Championship and in action across two action-packed days.

This weekend, we’re celebrating our 400th round start. It’s been an incredible journey with much more to come!

The Track

This weekend we are on the International Circuit configuration, which is 4.95km long, and has 18 turns. It’s a long lap, which is high load, with long sweeping corners.

Tyres

We’re back on the soft tyre this weekend, so degradation will be up.

It’s a bit of a game of patience around here. The high-loaded corners mean if you’re not kind on the tyre, they won’t be kind to you.

Format

Saturday starts with two practice sessions, before a three-part qualifying session, and a 24-lap race.

On Sunday, there will once again be two rapid-fire qualifying sessions in a row that set the grid for the two 24-lap races to round out the weekend.

How to Watch

Every session across the weekend will be live on Fox Sports and Kayo. For times, CLICK HERE.

Weather

There is the chance of rain across both days, with temperatures below 20.

Nick Percat

“Looking forward to getting back out there this weekend. We finished Townsville with a positive last race, and have been building on that since.

“It’s great to be racing back home in South Australia, the crowd is always really passionate here.

“We are back to a two-day format, so Saturday morning becomes really important again. If you are behind the eight-ball after practice, it’s tough to peg that back.”

Chaz Mostert

“I’m excited for this weekend, we’ve had some good results here, some tough days here as well, so it’s always a bit up in the air around this place which is cool.

“We’ve been working hard since Townsville, we made some gains across the weekend there, so I’m hoping that translates come Saturday morning.

“The soft tyre can always be a tricky one here, so managing that across the races will also be really important.”
