We still aren’t content with where we are at, but progress has been made this weekend.

JC grabbed his first top-10 finish since Clipsal today, crossing the line in P9 after a faultless drive from 13th on the grid.

After his first incident-free start in months, JC climbed up to 11th in the first stint before stopping for fuel and tyres.

The second stint was when he made his move, driving past Bright and Waters thanks to some great speed on an old tyre.

After getting past Reynolds in pit lane, he got as high as eighth before succumbing to Will Davidson in the closing laps, thanks to fresher tyres.

While it’s not as high as he wants or we want, it was a little win for the team, now recording two top-10 finishes in consecutive rounds.

As for Scotty, his day wasn’t as good, struggling for tyre life and balance, especially in the early part of the race.

Despite some encouraging signs late in the race, he finished in 18th for the 200kms.

Today’s result gives us more direction to work with, but the job is far from done.

It’ll be straight back to business next week, as we look to continue the progress before Ipswich later this month.

“The car looked after its tyre well today, especially in the second stint, which allowed us to race the guys in front, and be in a position to pass.

“It feels like a little win for the team, we are all working extremely hard, and I think this weekend proves that. The jobs not done though.”

“Today we just really struggled for balance and tyre life.

“I couldn’t get the car to turn the way or like, or find the drive I needed on exit.

“That meant that the tyre didn’t have much life left in it towards the end of the stint.

“It is disappointing after a solid result yesterday, so I’m already looking forward to getting to Ipswich and seeing how we go.”
