We are back in South Australia for the commencement of the 2025 Supercars Endurance Season!
It’s great to have Fabian Coulthard and Jayden Ojeda join Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood for this enduro season, both cars had solid pace at the last test day so come into this weekend feeling confident.
This will be Jayden’s first time racing at The Bend in a Supercar whilst Fabian Coulthard’s last Supercars win was at this track.
The Track
This weekend we are on the International Circuit configuration, which is 4.95km long, and has 18 turns. It’s all one giant right-hand turn from 7 through to 10 so the left side of the car takes a real beating, it’s a long lap, with high loads, so it’s important to look after the tyres.
Format
The on-track actions kicks off on Friday with three 30-minute practice sessions, the second session being limited to just the co-drivers.
Saturday sees two more practice sessions in the morning with the final practice session a co-driver session. Qualifying is up next which sets the grid for P11 to P26 with the top 10 cars battling it out in the Top 10 Shootout for pole position.
Sunday is the big day, the cars and drivers get 20 minutes to warm up in the morning before the 500km race starts at 1.45pm.
Tyres
We are on the Dunlop Soft tyre all weekend.
Pitstops
There are no minimum number of pitstops or tyres changed during pitstops, this puts a big focus on strategy over these longer races.
Fuel capacity has decreased from 133L down to 121L which means shorter stints and more pitstops, bringing more strategy into the mix.
Weather
It’s raining early in the week, but it looks to be clearing up for when the on track action kicks off on Friday.
How to Watch
Every session across the weekend will be live on Fox Sports and Kayo. For times, CLICK HERE.
Ryan Wood
“I’m excited to have Juice on board this year, he’s shown he’s got the pace in every category he steps in, plus he’s not too bad of a bloke off track.
“These big points races are critical with this new finals system, it’s important that we collect as many points as we can so we stay in the Top 10 at the end of the enduro season.”
Jayden Ojeda
“It’s great to be back with the WAU team, I started my Supercars journey with them so it’s a bit of a homecoming to be racing with them again this weekend.
“Woody and I had a successful test day last month, I’m feeling more confident in the car and looking forward to getting behind the wheel.
Chaz Mostert
“I love enduro season, there is so much more on the line, we normally fight for 300 points across three races, but we are fighting for the same amount of points across one race. It puts pressure on the whole team to perform and execute the entire weekend.
“It’s great to be reunited with Fabs this year, he’s great to have around the team and is one of the most experienced co-drivers in the field.”
Fabian Coulthard
“I always look forward to enduro season with the WAU team, it’s great to be back with Chazzie again, we have had some awesome success together in the past and we will definitely be looking to repeat that again this year.
“I’m excited that The Bend is on the endurance calendar this year, it’s a track I’ve always clicked with, it was where I had my last Supercars win so it’s pretty special to me.”
