0.007. That was the difference between Chaz and a podium, missing out by the slimmest of margins after a drag race to the line with Shane van Gisbergen.

After sitting fifth in the opening stint, Chaz took four tyres, and was locked in a battle for the podium with Whincup, Davison, and SVG... just missing out on some silverware.

Bryce did well to move into the Top 10 late in the race. Consistency was key across the 32-laps, making moves late with good tyre life.

The threat of rain hovered for the race but never arrived.

Chaz took two tyres which left him with track advantage over most, but couldn’t hold off those who took four tyres late, dropping him down the order.

Bryce was the first to stop in the field, giving him clear air after a frantic start in the midfield. He pushed late, but couldn’t find a way past those in the train in front once in the dirty air.

Chaz Mostert

“It was an up and down weekend in terms of results, but we definitely took a step forward this weekend. We made some real improvements with the qualifying car, and tried some things with the race car that made it better.

“We’ve still got some work to do no doubt but full credit to everyone for continuing to try things and move forward, looking forward to the test day now on Tuesday before another big weekend coming up.”

Bryce Fullwood

“Overall, I think we had a better weekend. Qualifying was more consistent, and it was nice to get a top 10 earlier today.

“We are still trying some stuff, and learning every session, and that will continue on Tuesday. Will be great to have Luffy here as well to do some laps as we build towards Bathurst.”
