It was a tough weekend for the team at the Sandown 500.

Qualifying on Saturday put us on the back foot for the weekend, with both cars missing out on the Top 10 shoot-out on Saturday. Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth qualifying 16th, whilst Nick Percat and Fabian Coulthard 26th, after facing some issues with the clutch.

It was going to be a grueling race with warm-spring temperatures, and starting towards the rear of the grid meant it would be a big race ahead.

Both cars got a good start off the line, with Fabian up five positions, unfortunately Lee got caught in a battle sustaining rear damage on the opening lap.

The pit crew did an awesome job to keep Car 25 on the lead whilst fixing the damage across two separate pitstops. In the end, they cut away most of the rear bar which was dragging on the ground, making matters worse.

With both cars lacking race pace, the second half of the race was a follow the leader until the checkered flag.

This weekend was well below our expectations, which means plenty of work to do before we head the The Mountain in a few weeks.
